Dear Parents or Guardians,

For many kids, summertime means food, friends and fun. For families who count on school breakfast and lunch, however, the summer months can be stressful and family food budgets have to be stretched even further. Free summer meals, funded by the USDA, are available to kids and teens ages 18 and younger in Alabaster.


Free Summer Meal Program Details:

·         Meals are FREE to children and teens ages 18 and younger.

·         June 5 to July 28, 2017 (Closed July 3rd and 4th for holiday)

·         Serving Times will vary by site (please see details;

·         Serving Sites:

o   Meadow View Elementary (Breakfast 7:30 to 8:30 and Lunch 11:30-12:30)

o   Thompson Intermediate School (Breakfast 7:30 to 8:30 and Lunch 11:30-12:30)

o   Keystone Mobile Community

o   YMCA

o   Buck Creek Park

o   First Baptist Church of Alabaster

o   Liberty Baptist

·         Adults: Breakfast $2, Lunch $4 (serving adults only at Meadow View and Thompson Intermediate Schools)

·         Free summer meals will help families save money and stretch their already tight food budgets.

·         Food served is healthy and follows USDA nutrition guidelines.

·         No application or proof of income needed. You can just bring your child.

·         Children under 12 need to be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.
